PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a microwave exciting current needs to be efficiently supplied to a microwave generating element formed at a magnetic head slider so as to generate microwave magnetic field intensity for effective microwave assisted recording with limited power supply electric power of a magnetic recording and reproducing device.SOLUTION: A ground wiring connected to a microwave generating element is shortened by connecting to a slider base material having conductivity, and then the microwave generating element can be placed in a short-circuit state. Consequently, a microwave exciting current can be efficiently supplied to the microwave generating element to achieve effective microwave assisted recording.
