PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice recording device capable of determining more adequately the types of external sound pickup devices connected thereto.SOLUTION: The voice recording device comprises: a connection section that can be connected to an external sound pickup device and comprises a plurality of terminals; and a determination section that when the sound pickup device is connected to the connection section, determines the type of the connected external sound pickup device on the basis of correlation between signals of certain terminals of the plurality of terminals. The plurality of terminals include a first terminal, a second terminal and a third terminal. The determination section, when correlation between voltage of the first terminal and voltage of the second terminal is higher than a first threshold and correlation between the voltage of the first terminal and voltage of the third terminal is higher than a second threshold, may be set to determine that the connected external sound pickup device is a certain external sound pickup device. |
