PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to generate road surface shape data which accurately reproduces a road surface shape.SOLUTION: A method for generating road surface shape data, which is data representing a three-dimensional shape of a road surface, comprises: a road surface point acquisition process to express a plurality of points on the road surface in an extending direction and a width direction of a road as coordinate points in a predetermined coordinate system and to acquire the coordinate points corresponding to respective points as road surface points; an approximate line generation process to generate approximate lines, on the basis of the road surface points, on a plurality of cross sections which are planes orthogonal to the extending direction of the road and arranged at predetermined intervals along the extending direction; an interpolation plane generation process to generate interpolation planes interpolating gaps between the approximation lines generated on the cross sections which differ from each other; and a road surface shape data generation process to generate road surface shape data using the generated interpolation planes. |
