METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING KOREAN CHARACTER

PURPOSE: A method for recognizing Korean characters is provided to increase the recognition accuracy of the Korean characters inputted in a touch panel and to reduce the recognition time of the Korean characters by setting a pattern that a user inputs in advance. CONSTITUTION: A section, in which a pattern formed of single or multiple strokes are positioned, is divided into multiple sections by X and Y-axes. When a pattern is written in the sections, first data on a sequence touched in the X-axis and second data on a sequence touched in the Y-axis are obtained (S15). If the pattern comes under an initial consonant or a final consonant, the sections where target recognizing consonants are positioned are divided by the X and Y-axes. The consonants matched with the first and second data are searched from first and second consonant data when the consonants are written.
