PURPOSE: A system for playing a musical instrument is provided to install a drum module anywhere, and to output a sound using a guitar module with only fingering codes, thereby reducing spatial and economic constraints on a user. CONSTITUTION: A system (100) for playing a musical instrument includes a guitar module (180), a drum module (170), and a processor (110). The guitar module includes a guitar-shaped body, a cable sensor part, and multiple tact switches. The cable sensor part includes multiple cable sensor parts implementing the strings of a guitar. The tact switches are placed in response to partitions on a finger board, and the partitions are partitioned by the strings and frets. The drum module includes a tongs-shaped body and multiple drum sensor parts. The drum sensor part has a film sensor detecting vibration. In a guitar practice mode, the processor indicates a fingering position for a selected code among multiple codes, indicates detected positions with receiving detection signals from the tact switches, and then outputs sounds according to the detected positions. In a drum practice mode, the processor indicates a drum set, receives vibration detection signals from the film sensors, and then outputs the sounds of a percussion instrument in response to the corresponding film sensors.
