PURPOSE: A roaming supporting method in a WLAN environment and an apparatus thereof are provided to eliminate inconveniences for a user by providing a process which deals with L3 roaming based on L2 roaming. CONSTITUTION: A processor (720) supports L2 roaming and L3 roaming. The processor of a mobile terminal included in a first Access Point (AP) tries to wirelessly connect to a second AP for L2 roaming. If the L2 roaming is successful, the processor transmits a message which includes an IP address allocated by the first AP to the second AP using a transmission module in order to identifying whether the IP address which is allocated by the first AP is supported in the second AP.
