PURPOSE: A safety bench press is provided to allow a user to adjust the weight of a handle by a simple operation and to be automatically or manually adjusted in weight. CONSTITUTION: A safety bench press includes elevation supports (10), a bench (20), an elevation unit (30), a handle (40), a power transmission device (50), and a resistance unit (60). A long pipe is perpendicularly installed on the elevation supports. The bench is installed between the elevation supports. The elevation unit ascends and descends along the elevation supports. The handle is fixed to the elevation unit. The power transmission device is installed at the upper and lower parts of the elevation supports. A part of a belt connects to elevation unit or the handle. The resistance unit obstructs the driving of the power transmission device and includes a pressure roller (63) and a pressure bar (62). The pressure roller selectively contacts the belt (52). |
