PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer which is excellent in color developability, color reproducibility and storage stability and is capable of obtaining a stable output image over a long period of time.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid developer composed of at least a binder resin (A), a colorant (B), a polymer dispersant (C) having an amine value of 5 to 150 mgKOH/g and a carrier liquid (D), wherein the polymer dispersant (C) is obtained by reacting isocyanate groups of an urethane prepolymer (C-3) having two isocyanate groups at one terminal region with a primary and/or secondary amino group of an amine compound containing a polyamine (C-4), the urethane prepolymer (C-3) is obtained by reacting hydroxyl groups of a vinyl polymer (C-1) having two hydroxyl groups at one terminal region with an isocyanate group of a diisocyanate (C-2), and (C-1) is a vinyl polymer obtained by copolymerizing at least an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (e1) containing an alkyl group having 6 to 24 carbon atoms in an amount of 5 wt.% or more in the (C-1). |
