PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the adjustment of assembly of a thermal print head to a thermal printer.SOLUTION: A thermal print head includes a flexible substrate 22 having a bottom 70, a side 78 rising from the bottom 70, a tip face 72 connected with the side 78 with an edge 77 interposed in-between and facing the bottom 78, a top face 71 facing the bottom on the opposite side of the edge 77 with respect to the tip face 72, having a greater distance from the bottom 70 than the tip face 72, a glaze layer 25 attached to the vicinity of the top face 71, the tip face 72 and the edge 77 of the side 78 and having ribs 21 parallel with the edge 77 formed on the top face 71, a plurality of heating resistors 26 arrayed on the surface of the ridges 21 of the glaze layer 26 with spaces interposed in-between, an electrode layer 28 connected with the heating resistors 26 and having electrodes extending in the direction of separating from the edge 77 formed, and a protection film 29 covering the heating resistors 26. |
