PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut down the number of circuits needed to detect overheads in a data transmission device.SOLUTION: In a network data transmission device, low speed signal transfer frames are accommodated in time slots for high speed signal transfer frames when transmitted, and the number of time slots accommodating the low speed signal transfer frames is made to be variable. The data transmission device includes: a storage unit in which as many signal data at a transmission rate of the high speed signal transfer frames supplied separately by time slot number as accommodated in the time slots for high speed signal transfer frames are stored separately by the time slot number; and a selection output unit which selects as many data as accommodated in the time slots from the storage unit for each time slot number and sequentially outputs the selected data. |
