PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that since a conventional optical module has a shape in which a sleeve for holding a ferrule is integrated, each time changing a distance between a lens and a fiber end face, it is necessary to prepare a receptacle housing.SOLUTION: An optical module includes a transparent resin mold package provided with an optical component, a ferrule holding part for holding an inserted ferrule, a receptacle housing for positioning the optical component and the ferrule holding part within a plane, and an optical reference position adjustment board for determining an optical distance between the optical component and the ferrule on an optical axis. The optical reference position adjustment board can be obtained by an optical module whose cross sectional shape is formed by a cavity having a trapezoid shape and a through-hole in an optical axis part. |
