PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid type storage battery separator composed of fine porous resin film sheet and glass fiber mat-like nonwoven fabric sheet which are combined in laminate form, the separator having the glass fiber mat-like nonwoven fabric sheet which can bring about a good electrode plate active material protective function, a good gas discharge function, and a good electrolyte stratification prevention function, and further has good elongation properties allowing to follow the elongation of the electrode plate due to battery reaction.SOLUTION: The liquid type storage battery separator of the present invention comprises: at least one layer of acid resistant fine porous resin film sheet whose average pore diameter is 1 μm or less and whose void ratio is 50 to 90%; and at least one layer of acid resistant nonwoven fabric sheet manufactured by a wet papermaking process, 50 mass% or more of which is composed of wool-like glass fiber whose average fiber diameter is 2 to 4.5 μm, and which has an average pore diameter of 20 to 100 μm and a liquid absorption rate of 20 mm/min or more, characterized in that these layers are composed in laminate form. |
