摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel internal combustion engine capable of guiding exhaust gas in an SCR catalyst direction by bypassing at least a particle filter through an exhaust gas bypass pipe since the exhaust gas bypass pipe provided with a reducing agent quantity adjusting device and a hydrolysis catalyst is guided by surrounding at least the particle filter.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine includes: exhaust gas turbo supercharging of at least one stage via at least one exhaust gas turbocharger (11); exhaust gas cleaning via a particle filter (14) and an SCR catalyst (15); and a hydrolysis catalyst (17) arranged in an exhaust gas bypass pipe (18) together with a reducing agent quantity adjusting device (16). The internal combustion engine is particularly, a diesel internal combustion engine for a ship driven by using heavy oil. An exhaust gas flow of passing through the exhaust gas bypass pipe (18) can be adjusted via an adjusting device (19), and the exhaust gas bypass pipe (18) provided with the reducing agent quantity adjusting device (16) and the hydrolysis catalyst (17) is guided by surrounding at least the particle filter (14), and as a result of it, the exhaust gas can be guided in the SCR catalyst (15) direction by bypassing at least the particle filter (14) through the exhaust gas bypass pipe (18).
