PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of leakage or breaking due to erosion of molybdenum, used in a current introduction body, by zinc in a ceramic metal halide lamp using zinc in place of mercury.SOLUTION: By using an intermediate material made of tungsten, and a conductive cermet rod composed mainly of tungsten and alumina as a current introduction body, reaction of the current introduction body and zinc is suppressed and occurrence of problems such as leakage and breaking is limited. Weight ratio of tungsten and alumina in the conductive cermet rod is preferably set in a range from 40:60 to 50:50. |
