PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which can reduce misalignment of a sheet abutted on a roller caused by inertial rotation of the roller.SOLUTION: A conveying device includes: a first conveying roller 60 on which drive force is imparted from a motor for conveyance 71; a second conveying roller 62 which is connected to the first conveying roller 60 through a one-way clutch; and a control part. The respective conveying rollers 60, 62 convey a recording paper 12. The control part repeats conveyance and stop of the recording paper 12 at a predetermined linefeed width. The control part determines whether the recording paper 12 is sandwiched by both of the first conveying roller 60 and the second conveying roller 62 or the recording paper 12 is sandwiched only by the second conveying roller 62 when conveyance of the recording paper 12 is finished at a next predetermined linefeed width (S60). When the control part determines that the recording paper is sandwiched only by the second conveying roller 62, the control part slowly decelerates the second conveying roller 62 in conveying the recording paper 12 at the next predetermined linefeed width (S80, S90). |
