PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent inconvenience due to the excessive high temperature of a thermal head while coping with high or low sensitivity of a print layer and high or low print density.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a platen roller 111 transporting roll paper S having a thermosensitive layer developing color, a roller driving circuit 244 for driving the platen roller 111, a thermal line head 112 performing printing on the transported roll paper S, a head driving circuit 243 for controlling energization of a plurality of heating elements of the thermal line head 112, and a temperature sensor 151 for detecting a temperature of the thermal line head. When the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 151 is raised and reaches a printing stop temperature T1, printing processing is stopped, and a high or low printing stop temperature T1 is changed and set in accordance with high or low print density D set in printing processing. |
