PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique related to a filter preventing cracks from generating when cleaning exhaust gas.SOLUTION: A sealed honeycomb structure 100 includes: a honeycomb structural part 500 having a plurality of cells 10 to be flow paths for fluid; and porous partition walls 30 comparting the cells 10, the honeycomb structural part 500 having a first cell structural part 200 present in a central part, and a second cell structural part 300 surrounding the circumference of the first cell structure, the first cell structural part 200 being configured so that inflow side-opening cells 130 and outflow side-opening cells 135 are alternately aligned and separated by the partition walls 30, the second cell structural part 300 having a blocking part 170 disposed at the partition walls 30 over an entire area in a circumferential direction of the side face of the honeycomb structural part 500 so as to block at least opening portions 15 of cells 10 of grooves 80 so that all of the cells 10 of the second cell structural part 300 are blocked between an inflow side end face 70 and an exhaust side end face 90. |
