PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain an igniter with high accuracy while attaining reduction in cost.SOLUTION: A disc-type gas generator 100 which is substantially disc-shaped includes: a base plate 1 for mounting at least one igniter 9; and an under plate 3 for accommodating a gas generating agent T in an internal space 5 formed between the base plate 1 and the under plate. The base plate 1 includes a circular protruding part 11 which is substantially circular, provided while protruding for mounting the igniter 9 thereto. In the circular protruding part 11, a substantially disc-shaped plate part 13, a substantially cylindrical outer cylinder part supporting an outer circumferential end of the plate part 13 in a radial direction, a substantially cylindrical inner cylinder part 17 extending from an inner circumferential end of the plate part 13 in the radial direction to another side in an axial direction, and an abutting part 19 which is provided while protruding from another side end portion of the inner cylinder part 17 in an axial direction to the inside in the radial direction, are provided while integrated by press forming. The igniter 9 is positioned from the outside in the radial direction by the abutting part 19 which is provided integrally in the circular protruding part 11, and retained by a pressure in the axial direction. |
