摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update software while securing security of batteries.SOLUTION: A battery management unit 21 comprises communication units (61 and 62) which receive battery state data by communicating with respective battery units (BU[1] and BU[2]), and also transmit signals based on the battery state data (for example, signals indicating permission or inhibition of charging and discharging operation) to a power conversion control unit 11 which controls charging and discharging operation. If software update is required in the battery units, the update is to be executed one by one. The battery management unit 21 can cause the battery unit BU[1] to execute software update by transferring update signals (411, 421 and 431) transmitted from the power conversion control unit 11 to the battery unit BU[1]. When the battery management unit 21 receives a signal (461) requiring software update of the battery unit BU[2] from the power conversion control unit 11 during the update execution period (450) of the battery unit BU[1], the battery management unit 21 refuses the request.
