PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of an electric power steering device and improve a degree of freedom of layout of other components.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device includes: a steering shaft 1 to which a steering wheel 8 is connected; a steering column 2 rotatably supporting the steering shaft 1; a fixed bracket 34 which is fixed to a vehicle body and supports the steering column 2 via a supporting shaft 35; a tilt mechanism 50 which makes the steering column 2 rockable around the supporting shaft 35 as a center so that the steering wheel 8 may be moved vertically; a releasing mechanism which can switch between a restriction of rocking of the steering column and release of the restriction; and a spring which is arranged in a periphery of the supporting shaft 35 and applies energizing force against a weight of the electric power steering device 100 when the restriction of the rocking of the steering column 2 is released by the releasing mechanism. |
