PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an engine body while adjusting a rotational direction of a driving sprocket to the rotational direction of a crankshaft, in a camshaft driving device of the internal combustion engine for transmitting rotational power from the crankshaft to a camshaft rotatably supported by a cylinder head via a cam chain wrapped around a driven sprocket arranged on a camshaft.SOLUTION: A driving sprocket 21 wrapped with a cam chain 24 is relatively rotatably supported by a crankshaft 13, and a gear transmission mechanism 25 arranged between the crankshaft 13 and the driving sprocket 21 is constituted to transmit power to the driving sprocket 21 by reducing a rotating speed of the crankshaft 13 to 1/2 by a driving gear 27 arranged on the crankshaft 13, a first intermediate gear 28 meshing with the driven gear 27, a second intermediate gear 29 rotating together with the first intermediate gear 28 and a driven gear 30 meshing with the second intermediate gear 29 to rotate together with the driving sprocket 21. |
