PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometrics device for acquiring registration data for improving usability while securing authenticating accuracy.SOLUTION: A non-contact biometrics device includes: a sensor for, when a part of a living body moves in a range as a preliminarily defined area in an actual space for acquiring registration data, detecting characteristic data including the characteristics of a part of the living body; and a registration data selection part for, in a collation range preliminarily set in a characteristic space defined by coordinates designating the position in a real space of a part of the living body and variables designating the posture of a part of the living body, including a region corresponding to the range in the real space and the range relating to the posture detected by the sensor, arranging the predetermined number of hyper-spheres along a line corresponding to an orbit in the real space where the living body moves such that those hyper-spheres do not go over the collation range, do not duplicate with each other, and respectively have the maximum radius, and for selecting the characteristic data detected at the positions in the real space which are the closest to the positions in the real space corresponding to the centers of the hyper-spheres as registration data as the first priority. |
