PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firstly provide a method capable of detecting a velocity of a train with high accuracy based on a rotation detecting signal from a rotation detection device and to secondly provide means capable of calculating a location of the train with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In a velocity detection section 200, a slide/slip determination section 208 detects occurrence of slide/slip by comparing an inertia system pitch angle &thetas;based on a measurement of an angular velocity sensor 112 with a succession system pitch angle &thetas;estimated based on a measurement of a tacho-generator 20. In the case where the occurrence of slide/slip is not detected, a slide/slip correction section 210 outputs a succession system velocity Vas a detection velocity V. In the case where the occurrence of slide/slip is detected, on the other hand, a correction velocity Vwhich is obtained by correcting the succession system velocity Vis outputted as the detection velocity V while using the succession system velocity Vbefore and after a period in which slide/slip occurs, and an inertia system velocity Vcalculated based on the measurement of the angular velocity sensor 112. |
