PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved cash processing apparatus, a cash processing method and a cash processing program for supplying change reserve fund in a short normal transaction stop time without changing the total received amount or total paid amount of paper money.SOLUTION: The cash processing apparatus includes: a paper money reception port for receiving paper money; a first storage part for storing paper money of first denomination received from the money reception port; a second storage part for storing paper money of second denomination different from the first denomination received from the paper money reception port; a supply safe part loaded with the paper money of first denomination; and a storage control part for storing the paper money of first denomination stored in the supply safe part in the first storage part, extracting the paper money of second denomination whose amounts are the same as those of the paper money of first denomination stored in the supply safe part from the second storage part, and storing the paper money of second denomination in the supply safe part.
