PURPOSE: A step exercise apparatus is provided to move a steering wheel and a footstool by connecting the steering wheel and the footstool, thereby doing desirable exercise in a state in which the balance of an arm and a leg is maintained. CONSTITUTION: A step exercise apparatus comprises: a frame (10) installed at the bottom surface; footstools (20) which are arranged in both sides of the frame; a pair of first links (30) in which one end is combined to the frame with a shaft (S) and the other end is combined to the footstool with a shaft; a steering wheel (40) which respectively is axis-connected with the both sides of the front end of the frame and performs rotation-exercises; and a second link (50) which connects the footstool and the steering wheel by connecting one end with the first link and connecting the other end with the steering wheel. One gear is set up in a shaft in which the frame and the first link are connected. The other gear engaged with the one gear is axis-combined with the frame, and the other gear is unified with the steering wheel in order to connect the footstool and the steering wheel by the other gear.
