PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method for forming a high definition pattern on a flexible substrate such as a glass substrate and a plastic film.SOLUTION: There is provided a printing method comprising the steps of: applying an ink receiving layer 2 on a film substrate 1; obtaining a half-dried receiving layer 2 in a half-dried state; pressing a letterpress 4 in which a convex part is formed corresponding to an image pattern to transfer a part pressed by the convex part of the letterpress 4 of the half-dried receiving layer 2 to the convex part of the letterpress 4; after the transfer step, forming a colored ink layer 7 on the image pattern by the half-dried receiving layer 2 remained on the film substrate 1 using an ink jet device 6; and after the step of forming an ink layer, transferring an image pattern having the half-dried receiving layer present on the film substrate 1 and the colored ink layer 7 on a surface of a substrate 8 to be printed. |
