PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which has such a brush that a fixing portion to which a pigtail is fixed has a shape different from that of a slide portion sliding on a commutator, and in which the brush can be guided stably toward the commutator.SOLUTION: A brush 22c of an electric motor includes a fixing portion 40 in which a pigtail 23c is placed fixedly, and a slide portion 41 disposed closer to a commutator than the fixing portion 40 and having an area of a cross-section facing the commutator set smaller than that facing the fixing portion 40. The fixing portion 40 is guided toward the commutator by means of a brush holder 24c, and the slide portion 41 is guided by slide portion guide means (35, 36) formed in a brush holder stay 21. |
