PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar thermal electric power generation device of a sun tracking type which enables a stable continuous operation over a long term and do not reduce electric power generation efficiency, even if in a sterling engine, an engine capacity is enlarged in order to improve electric power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: A sun tracking type solar thermal electric power generation device 10 drives a sterling engine 14 to generate electric power by continually directing the reflector 12 toward the sun, while tracking the position of the ever-changing sun 4 and adjusting the position of the device in the longitude direction and the latitude direction, wherein the position of sterling engine 14 is constructed to keep to be always vertical independent of the angle change of the reflector 12 which always changes. |
