PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system which has high reliability in security to a printed matter and is excellent in convenience by dispensing with a user's trouble of manually designating a device which can cope even in the case that a user of a device transmitting a print instruction is different from a user receiving a printed matter and corresponds to the position of the user receiving the printed matter, and to provide a printing method.SOLUTION: The printing system includes print instruction transmission means 102 for transmitting print instruction information including destination user information, printing means 103 for executing printing operation when receiving the print instruction information, and relay means 101 for relaying transmission and reception of the print instruction information between the print instruction transmission means 102 and the printing means 103. The relay means 101 determines a device of a user having the closest destination to the print instruction transmission means 102 as a position information acquisition device for acquiring position information of a destination user, and stores print instruction information from the print instruction transmission means 102 in the case of determining that distance between the position information acquisition device and the printing means 103 exceeds a prescribed value. |
