PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating an optimal CQI in an OFDM radio transmission system.SOLUTION: A signal including a data signal and a reference signal is received from a transmission device, channel quality and noise power density are estimated on the basis of the reference signal, and an instantaneous SINR per OFDM subcarrier is calculated from the estimated channel quality and noise power density. The instantaneous SINR is converted into a mutual information quantity (MIB) per encoded bit, and communication quality metric (LQM) based on a mean value in a transport block of the MIB is calculated. A combination of a modulation scheme and a coding rate (MCS) which makes expected throughput the largest is obtained, and an index indicating the obtained MCS is transmitted to the transmission device as a channel quality indicator (CQI). A reference table indicates relation between an LQM and transmission quality of each MCS, or relation between an LQM and the MCS which can obtain the maximum throughput at the LQM. |
