PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substitute character conversion person's name input device converting a name of a foreigner in substitute characters that corresponds to the gender of the foreigner and is more easy to use.SOLUTION: A substitute character conversion person's name input device 10 comprises: a gender correspondence conversion candidate search unit 103 searching for Chinese characters corresponding to a gender input on startup for a Japanese syllabary character string in advance from a gender correspondence dictionary memory unit 113 stored in advance, and outputting the Chinese characters as conversion candidates; and a Chinese character string output unit 104 outputting the Chinese character string decided from the output conversion candidates by input operations of a user. The substitute character conversion person's name input device 10 also comprises: a multisyllable converter 102 searching for the conversion candidates whose text length decreases as much as possible from a multisyllable dictionary memory unit 112 stored in advance, and outputting the search results as conversion candidates; and a conversion history search unit 101 searching for the Chinese character string corresponding to the Japanese syllabary character string from a conversion history memory unit 111 and outputting the search results as conversion candidates. |
