PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder with a small particle size which has excellent soft magnetism.SOLUTION: A method for producing a powder includes: a pH adjustment step of adding a pH adjuster to a raw material liquid containing a first metal salt containing Fe element, a second metal salt containing Co element, and a complexing agent to produce an intermediate solution adjusted so as to have a predetermined pH; and a reduction step of dropwise adding a B-based reducing agent containing dimethylamine borane and NaBHto the intermediate solution while stirring the intermediate solution to obtain a powder which is composed of an amorphous alloy and has soft magnetism. By performing the reduction step while applying a magnetic field, a spherical particle combination in which the powder is combined in a rod shape can be obtained.
