PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more securely prevent printing from being carried out without removing a protective sheet protecting a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: A printer for printing an image on a sheet by an electrophotographic system comprises: a photoreceptor 42c; a target contact body 35 which is brought into contact with a photoreceptor 42c; and a protective sheet 80 to be removed by a user before the use of this printer, the protective sheet 80 being disposed between the photoreceptor 42c and the target contact body 35, protecting the photoreceptor 42c from the target contact body 35, and used to block at least one of a task performed for the printer by a user in order to use the printer and a detecting operation performed by a sensor (55 or 56) provided in the printer in order to detect a state of the printer. |
