PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fatigue of an observer while enabling long-time observation of a stereoscopic image.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image processing device comprises: an acquisition unit for acquiring an image of multiple view points having horizontal parallax, the image constituting a stereoscopic image; and a parallax amount measurement unit for measuring a parallax amount of the image of multiple view points on a line-by-line basis of the image of multiple view points in the horizontal direction; a parallax amount determination unit for determining whether or not the parallax amount is a predetermined threshold or greater, and for determining a position on a line determined to be a threshold or greater, as a target position; a parallax distribution determination unit for obtaining a parallax distribution indicative of the distribution of the target position on the stereoscopic image; based on the parallax distribution, a mask image generation unit for determining a shape and a size to mask the stereoscopic image, and for generating a mask image having the determined shape and size; and a superposition unit for superposing the mask image on the stereoscopic image. |
