PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene which has a wide molecular weight distribution, has high melt index-corresponding density in addition to high melt tension, is excellent in rigidity, flow property and moldability, and satisfactorily compatible with various polyethylene resins, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A polyethylene which is polymerized with a chromium catalyst and satisfies the following requirements (1)-(6) and a method for producing the same are provided. (1) The high load melt flow rate (HLMFR) is a specific value. (2) The density (d) is a specific value. (3) The HLMFR and d satisfy a specific expression. (4) The value of ratio (Mw/Mn) of weight average molecular weight (Mw) to number average molecular weight (Mn) is a specific value. (5) The melt tension (MT, 190°C) is a specific value. (6) The HLMFR and MT satisfy a specific expression. |
