PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, and a control method, a program for the same, capable of efficiently performing a network transfer without delaying image processing for an imaging apparatus such as a digital camera.SOLUTION: A digital camera 100 having a network transfer function determines an access size with regard to an external storage media 107 that records photographed image information. Depending on a photographing mode, the digital camera 100 applies: a frist transfer mode that stores photographed image information in a temporal storage media 104 and transfers the information to a network; or a second transfer mode that stores the photographed image information in the temporal storage media 104, stores the information in an external storage media 107 from the temporal storage media 104, and transfers the information to the network. In this case the payload size of the second transfer mode is assumed to be an integral multiple of the access size decided. |
