PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a receiver stably obtain an application and activate in the case of achieving a broadcast and communication cooperation service.SOLUTION: A receiver comprises: an application server selection unit 712 for selecting an application server associated with regional information; an application information acquisition unit for acquiring an application information table including application identification information and application control information from a stream; an application request unit 713 for supplying application request information on an application indicated by the application identification information to the application server in the case where the application control information is data instructing execution start of the application; an application acquisition unit 714 for acquiring the application supplied by the application server; and a reproduction processing unit for reproducing content data included in the stream and executing the application.
