PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection setting method which is easy to set connection with a wireless LAN.SOLUTION: A relay device 2 structures an internal network 5 by establishing communication with another terminal, and relays communication between the internal network 5 and an external network 6. A transmitter 4 transmits a radio wave with a broadcast wavelength region that is multiplexed with connection setting information required for establishing communication with the relay device 2. A communication device 1 comprises: a reception unit 11 which receives the radio wave with the broadcast wavelength region; a connection setting information acquisition unit 12 which acquires connection setting information from the radio wave received by the reception unit 11; a storage unit 13 which stores connection setting information acquired by the connection setting information acquisition unit 12; and a communication unit 14 which connects with the relay device 2 by performing connection setting using the connection setting information stored in the storage unit 13.
