PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water storing pavement structure which is an improvement over a conventional water storing pavement structure and prevents rainwater from spilling from a water storing layer toward a ground surface even in heavy rain while maintaining a similar transpiration effect on a ground surface to a conventional water storing pavement structure.SOLUTION: A water storing pavement structure A comprises at least: a water storing base material 10 which is made of resin and buried in the ground; water retaining and absorbing materials 26 which pull water stored in the water storing base material 10; and paving block materials 33 arranged on the water retaining and absorbing materials 26. The water storing base material 10 is configured to have a bottom surface 11 and circumferential side walls 12. Load supporting members 20 are installed between the bottom surface 11 of the water storing base material 10 and the paving block materials 33. An outer circumferential portion of the water storing pavement structure A is covered by a permeable sheet 36. Rainwater is stored in water storing spaces of the water storing base material 10 and spilling rainwater does not reach a ground surface but overflows the circumferential side walls 12 and outflows into the ground. |
