PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device capable of efficiently utilizing idle frequency bands that are existent spatially in a fragmental manner on a frequency axis.SOLUTION: By means of a modulation unit 12, a S/P converter unit, a Fourier transformation unit 16, a spectrum mapping unit 20, a frequency converter unit 40-2, etc., a radio transmitter 1000 converts a data signal into a signal to transmit by a spread spectrum single carrier modulation system. An amplitude phase control unit 90 controls the amplitude and the phase of signals transmitted/received to/from each antenna 100-1 to 100-M in an array antenna. A detector 80 measures received signal intensity while controlling a radiation pattern of the array antenna. Based on the measurement result, a control unit 102 determines idle frequency bands for use for data transmission that are not used by other devices, and radiation patterns respectively corresponding to the idle frequency bands. |
