PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly reduce noise due to a dark current occurring in an image sensor.SOLUTION: An image pickup device comprises: an image sensor which generates the pixel data of an image to be photographed; a detection unit which detects the temperature of the image sensor; an arithmetic unit which, according to the temperature detected by the detection unit, calculates a dark current component included in the image picked up by the image sensor and also calculates the integrated value of dark current components; an estimation unit which, on the basis of a first integrated value which is the integrated value of dark current components calculated by the arithmetic unit in a first image pickup period in which a first image having had the subject picked up of image is picked up and a second integrated value which is the integrated value of dark current components calculated by the arithmetic unit in a second image pickup period, shorter than the first image pickup period, in which a second image which was picked up by the image sensor while being shielded from the light is picked up, estimates correction information to correct the first image; and a correction unit which, on the basis of the correction information estimated by the estimation unit and the pixel data of the first image, corrects the first image. |
