PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear suspension device capable of improving responsiveness in action of a vehicle body to a steering operation in early stages of a turn.SOLUTION: A rear suspension device includes: a rear sub frame 10 installed in a vehicle body through elastic mounts 20 and 30; a housing 40 rotatably supporting rear wheels Wand Wof the vehicle; and suspension arms 51 and 52 respectively connected to the housing and the rear sub frame freely to swing to transmit a lateral load between the housing and the rear sub frame. The rear suspension device also includes: a start-of-turn detecting means for detecting a stat of a turn of the vehicle; and a rigidity changing means for improving rigidity of the elastic mounts in response to the detection of the start of the turn. |
