PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic having excellent color stability and an ultraviolet shielding property by controlling aggregation of titanium oxide.SOLUTION: A cosmetic contains titanium oxide and toluenesulfonic acid or a salt thereof. In the cosmetic, it is desirable that concentration of titanium oxide is 0.01 to 40 wt.% with respect to the total weight of the cosmetic, and a ratio of weight of titanium oxide to weight of toluenesulfonic acid or a salt thereof is 1/1 to 1,000/1. In addition, it is desirable that the cosmetic is prepared by a method including a step of controlling aggregation of titanium oxide by adding toluenesulfonic acid or the salt thereof to a solution including titanium oxide. |
