PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which achieves shortening of temperature control time of a platen and which can be miniaturized.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus 10 includes: a carriage 30 including an image forming part 24 for forming an image by ejecting ink by inkjet; a scanning means 28 allowing the carriage 30 to scan in both directions along a direction orthogonal to a recording medium conveying direction; a platen 26 arranged to be opposed to the carriage 30 and supporting the recording medium 12 on which the image is formed by inkjet from a back side; a temperature control means performing the temperature control of the platen 26 by a temperature control mechanism 82 provided in the carriage 30 or detachably provided therein. The temperature control means performs the temperature control of all the area in a width direction of the platen 26 by moving the carriage 30 by using the scanning means 28. |
