PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal, a data transmission system and a data transmission method which can improve a success rate in data transmission processing when an environment in which data needs to be transmitted is instable.SOLUTION: A remaining battery life measurement unit 11 measures the remaining battery life which is the remaining life of a battery driving a portable terminal 10. A data division unit 14 divides data on the basis of the remaining battery life measured by the remaining battery life measurement unit 11 to generate divided data. A data transmission unit 15 transmits the divided data generated by the data division unit 14. In this way, the possibility of data transmission processing being interrupted when the remaining battery life is few is reduced, and a success rate in data transmission processing is thereby improved.
