PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating phosphorus-containing water capable of preventing excessive charge of slaked lime and obtaining treatment water with good water quality.SOLUTION: In a method of treating phosphorus-containing water, slaked lime is added to the phosphorus-containing water to convert phosphorus in the phosphorus-containing water into calcium salt for solid-liquid separation. In the method, part of sludge obtained by the solid-liquid separation in a sedimentation tank 5 is returned and is mixed with slaked lime in a sludge adjustment tank 9, and this mixture is added to the phosphorus-containing water in a first reaction tank 1 and the phosphorus-containing water is treated via a second reaction tank 2. Addition amount of slaked lime to the sludge adjustment tank 9 is controlled based on a detection value of pH of the reaction tank 2 and a concentration of the returned sludge detected by an SS meter 11. |
