PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a gasket excellent in productivity and economic efficiency which has no problem of odors, poor water barrier properties and the like, and requires no special facilities.SOLUTION: A method of forming a gasket on the inner surface of a container lid is provided. A gasket-forming material composed of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic resin composition which has a viscosity of 500 to 2,000 mPa sec when measured by a B-type viscometer at 180°C is applied annularly to the inner surface of the container lid. After that, the annularly applied gasket-forming material is heated to have a smooth surface. |
