METHOD OF GENERATING EVALUATION DATA ON PRINT QUALITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow evaluation of quality of a print pattern printed on a printed object by accumulation of data by continuous printing.SOLUTION: Continuous printing is performed by a gravure offset printing system for printing a print pattern 10 corresponding to a concave pattern on a printed object by transferring ink filled in the concave pattern 1 of an intaglio 20 to a cylindrical transfer layer 6a of a transcript 6 and bringing the transfer layer into contact with the printed object 7. An arbitrarily designated place M on the printed object directly after printed is imaged by imaging means 11A-D and data imaged by the imaging means is acquired as continuous-tone digital images. Then, evaluation data on the continuously printed print patterns of each printed object is accumulated based on the acquired continuous-tone digital images.
