[Classes 20(i) and 20(ii)] Sections or units of sectional structural frameworks are connected by a splice link interposed between the sections and provided with a number of spigots for engagement with complementary sockets in or on the sections or units. Pre-formed units A, B, Fig. 4, comprised of parallel tubes a, e, d braced in triangular disposition by tubular members f, c, are coupled together to form a truss by a splice link C, comprising correspondingly disposed spigots i coupled by bracing j. The tubes are secured to the spigots by through bolts. The invention is stated to be applicable to the connection of sectional structures of scaffolding and bridges. |
