PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece that can efficiently utilize light made incident on a dial plate for power generation by a solar battery and excels in aesthetic appearance.SOLUTION: A timepiece has a dial plate 4 and a solar battery 8 installed on the rear surface side of the dial plate 4. The dial plate 4 has an area larger than that of the solar battery 8 and includes the solar battery 8 in plain view. The dial plate 4 includes grooves 411 or ridges having a function of collecting the incident light provided thereon. It is preferable that the dial plate 4 is concentrically provided as the grooves 411 or the ridges. Moreover, it is preferable that the dial plate 4 has the grooves 411 or the ridges on the surface opposite to the surface on the side facing the solar battery 8. |
